Silent Before You Lord
by:
Scripture
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. “But the LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him.” ~ Habakkuk 2:14, 20
Be silent in the presence of the Lord GOD; For the day of the LORD is at hand, for the LORD has prepared a sacrifice; He has invited His guests. ~ Zephaniah 1:7
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. ~ 2 Peter 3:9
Prayer
Holy Father in heaven, let us, through the Holy Spirit, tap into the knowledge of Your glory which Your have so graciously given to us, that we will be still before You in humble fear (Psalm 46:10); that we will be silent in our hearts before the sacrifice of Jesus Christ crucified, of which You have invited us to be a part of as guests (Matthew 22 1-14). Today, let us humbly accept Your invitation to be forgiven; to be saved; to be redeemed; to be with You always and forever, a holy remnant with a heavenly citizenship as promised. Amen.
