Trusted Righteousness!

Scripture
For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth. By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.
~ Psalm 71:5-6
My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day, for I do not know their limits.
I will go in the strength of the Lord God; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
~ Psalm 71: 15-16
Prayer
Holy Father in heaven, let us walk today in the joy of Your salvation; the joy of Your righteousness. Let our hope and trust in You, our Father, make us testify to Your love with our lives and let us praise You with our lips according to Your great mercies which are many. Amen.
Testimony
Every day brings us hope and joy if we know where to look and to whom. From waking up breathing to admiring God’s creation. From appreciating our blessings both great and small to looking back on our lives in remembrance of how God was directing us with counsel from heaven even when we didn’t recognize it as such then. And then there are the miracles, some minor, some life changing, like being born again and given new eyes and new ears and a transformed mind allowing us a whole new perspective on how to live our lives and for whom. Yes, why shouldn’t we praise the Lord each day and glorify His name while testifying to His love and mercy and grace, even for a wretch like me.
Wisdom
As we look upon our world and watch every pillar of society crumble before our lives, why should we put our hope in government or technology or medicine or even our fellow man when we can hope and trust in the One who created everything to be perfect. He who loved us even when we sinned and caused His perfection to become tainted with deception, filth and lies, who loved us so much that despite all of that would die on a cross for us to be saved by His blood. Let us go this day in the strength of the Lord and mention continually His righteousness in our lives
