May the Lord Be the Focus of Our Trust

Scripture
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.
~ Psalm 138:7-8
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. ~ Jeremiah 17:7-8
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. ~
1 Peter 5:6-7
Prayer
Holy Father in heaven, let our confidence and courage be born of our faith in You and let our faith be born of our humility before the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, Jesus Christ. There is no room for fear, anxiousness, worry or doubt when we fill that void they produce with trust in Your love that heals us. Amen.
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” ~
Mark 9:24
Testimony
Let us remember all the times in our lives when, like the Father of the possessed boy, we cried out to the Lord in tears for help; to heal our unbelief and He was faithful. Let us trust in the love of our faithful Abba when we are facing the great sea, or a furnace or the giants in the course of our lives and fear not, because the troubles of this world have been overcome.
Wisdom
“courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway.”
~ John Wayne
