Fear Not But God Almighty!

Scripture
“And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!
Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” ~
Luke 12:4-5, 23:39-43
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire. ~ Hebrews 12:28-29
Prayer
Holy Father in heaven, let us not fear Satan, man, or the evil of this world but rather that which is the Truth: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Yes, Abba, let us trust in who You are, what Jesus did at Calvary and the power of the Holy Spirit in us, that we will serve You with the reverence that You command and walk with unshaken confidence towards Your Kingdom that awaits us under Your divine protection. Amen.
Testimony
Fear of the worldly, or even fear of that which is evil, ugly and dangerous is rational and in most cases helpful for survival. But when that fear overcomes our faith, becoming such a distraction away from God, the cross of Jesus and our walk in the Holy Spirit, then we forget that every day is an unpromised gift, never guaranteed, and that each day should be focused on the Lord. When we do that, when we can do that, we realize that who we serve is greater than the world; the world that God created; the world that He overcame for us at Calvary, and that our only fear should be the possibility of not spending eternity with Him. By faith we are saved.
