Scripture

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” ~ Genesis 3:15
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. ~ James 4:4-8

Prayer

Holy Father in heaven, from the beginning, the battle against You and for our souls has raged. The tactics and weapons formed against us have changed over time but Your love and faithfulness toward us has never waned (Isaiah 54:17). Let us start each day with humble hearts and the full Armor of God, submitting to You that Your grace will be sufficient to purify our hearts, thereby drawing closer to You in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 12:9). Amen.

Testimony

Throughout history physical battles have been fought just to make small gains, many times with great casualties. Spiritual battles are no different. Each day we face the enemy of evil, Satan and his forces. Of his many weapons against us are: shame, fear, anger, distractions, lies and regret, all of which we can defeat with the Word of God, which is the Gospel of Truth. Faith in the healing power of the righteousness of Christ and our love for each other, gives us the strength to endure to the end. So let us put on the full Armor of God each day, even while carrying our cross, and get in the battle because the stakes are high. Spiritual life or spiritual death?

Wisdom

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ~ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
