Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. You have plowed wickedness; You have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, Because you trusted in your own way, In the multitude of your mighty men. Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them. ~ Hosea 10:12-13, 14:9
Prayer
Holy Father in heaven, with Your great love and mercy always comes divine patience. With divine commandments and so many prophetic warnings we have pushed aside Your wisdom in exchange for what our itching ears and lustful ways wanted to hear, see and do. Without prudence we have run from righteousness and stumbled poorly over our many transgressions, again, against Your guidance and direction. Let today be the day that we embrace humility and pray that the forgiving power of the blood of Jesus Christ be made known to the lost and blind and that it reignites the fire of the faithful that we will seek Your face as Your people; as a nation; as a worldwide remnant that You will hear us and heal us as Your Kingdom comes (2 Chronicles 7:14, Acts 13:40-41). Amen.
