Scripture

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. ~ Isaiah 55:1-2
Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” ~ John 6:27

Prayer

Holy Father in heaven, let us remember the example of John the Baptist when he said, ” He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). Let us cast off that which is our old selves, corruptible worldly flesh, and be transformed by the Holy Spirit to seek that which is of You, heavenly food and drink, which is the Word of God. Let us be the light that gives hope; the food that gives nourishment; the drink that satisfies all thirst. Let us be the living example of Jesus Christ today to a world starving for You. Amen.
