No Middle Ground

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. ~ Revelation 3:15-16
Holy Father in heaven, in today's world the choice of death has been clouded and blurred with so many deceptive lies that without someone to lead the lost they are doomed to die (Acts 8:30-31). Man chose death in Your garden, tempted by the same evil, yet, in Your love and compassion, You never gave up on us; You gave us Jesus Christ to lead us out of the slavery of sin. Let us choose this day to choose Him and lead others to the choice of everlasting joy with You. Let us bring back to life those who are cold with death and breathe the Holy Spirit, which is the Word of God, into their hearts, that they may beat again with eternal life that is Christ Jesus. Amen.
Today we live in a world full of choices, many of them there to give us physical or mental satisfaction; comfort from a busy, distracted society or a means to a better, richer life. Seemingly!
But what about spiritually? Do all those choices line up with Scripture? Are they in agreement with the Word of God? Well the Bible is also full of choices: good versus evil; life versus death;; light versus darkness; health versus sickness, and choices have consequences. The Word of the Lord gives us so many guidelines and examples on what to do to keep us safe, sound, and saved. Obvious opposites there to keep us in alignment with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, choices for our good and choices to keep us grounded in faith. Today, let us step out of the lukewarm limbo of physical comforts and instant mental stimulation and choose Life eternal in Jesus Christ.
