Wait on the Hope That is the Lord
This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. ~ Lamentations 3:21-25
Holy Father in heaven, thank you for every new day, for every breath that we are given. Thank You for Your mercies each day that show us compassion from heaven; mercies as undeserved as our salvation. Yet in Your great love and amazing grace, Your faithfulness to us becomes our portion of hope. Let our souls rejoice this day at Your goodness. Let our hearts burn with the Truth of Your Word. Anen..
Every day is a chance to pick up our cross and continue on the narrow road, putting yesterday behind us and looking forward, never back. The glory that awaits us is our hope, and that hope is home with our Father.
