Ameritopia is Mark Levin’s ultra-classic book on the philosophies underlying American Gov’t. Levin explains both Utopianism and Americanism by boiling down the works of Plato, More, Hobbes, Locke, Montesquieu, de Tocqueville, and Marx using their own words and his insights on how they bolster the good and bad movement in America’s politics and the direction it’s headed. To me, this is an essential study because it saved me an estimated 3,000 hours of reading (at my pace) that I never would have achieved anyhow. This is a thorough crash course of America’s founding, thus – a timeless classic!
