The Foundation that is Christ
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.~ Isaiah 28:16
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” ~ Matthew 21:42-44
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. ~

Holy Father in heaven, by Your amazing love, mercy, and grace we have been given the keys to Your Kingdom through the offering and sacrifice of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He, the author of Creation, the writer of Your commandments, the Lamb of God who takes away our sin, He who was crucified, He who has risen, He who has ascended, and He who will return as King and Judge. Yes He is the only foundation on which we can build our hope, our faith, and our love. Amen.
A belief that is built on faith and a faith that is built in belief. Both depend on trusting the Lord as the foundation for both.
