1. There is limited proof that Hantavirus is spread through human contact. Evidence suggests that is is because of rodent excrement that dries up and contaminates the air.

2. Hantavirus is very rare. It was discovered in 1976 after the Korean War. There have only been 890 confirmed cases since 1993.

3. Vaccines do not need to be taken for this. Most vaccines work because of herd immunity. When there is a very common virus, if most people are immune, i will stop the spread. But since cases are so rare, and also not spread between people, there is no reason for a vaccine to be taken. If you are exposed to Hanatvirus, it is recommended to take Hydroxychloroquine and steroids, and to go to a hospital before it gets worse. Make sure that the source of rodent excrement is properly cleared out and that things are properly sanitized.
