Hamilton’s national bank, unlike today’s Federal Reserve, was designed to be a bulwark *against* financial speculation.
To put simply for anyone trying to explain the Hamiltonian System for others: It was first developed after the Revolution by creating a National Bank that would combine the debts of all the states, in order to be able to establish public credit. These loans would not be based off of of the gold standard or amount of money, but rather the future productivity that the money from these loans would help finance. It is interesting to see, that not even a couple years ago, Russia and China were viewed as one of America’s biggest adversaries, yet now they are one of the biggest powers who have not been compromised by the Financialists. It will be an interesting era to see these big powers unite to defeat the bigger enemy, the newer ending debt cycle of the Financialists.
