Takeaway From:
Early ballots and Mail-In voting is very important for accessibility issues, not just for those with injuries, but also the average Americans who might not have time to go vote exactly on Election Day.
So without throwing away the whole system, how do we improve the security of accessible voting while still maintaining election integrity?
One point, as the post said, mail in ballots without signatures are invalid. Can we create a mail in ballot that ensures that voter registration is also provided as well as signature to make sure we don’t have people voting twice or for the wrong state or district?
What about online voting that requires a specific registration that’s connected to someone’s voting registration to ensure that those unable to come in don’t vote more than once.
There are ways to make sure our elections are fair, while not leaving behind important Americans in our elections. Everyone has the right to vote!
