Hamilton’s national bank, unlike today’s Federal Reserve, was designed to be a bulwark *against* financial speculation.
To put simply for anyone trying to explain the Hamiltonian System for others: It was first developed after the Revolution by creating a National Bank that would combine the debts of all the states, in order to be able to establish public credit. These loans would not be based off of of the gold standard or amount of money, but rather the future productivity that the money from these loans would help finance. Hamilton’s system helped grow the country, and we see his principles again the RFC (Reconstruction Finance Corporation). This organization lent to things most banks wouldn’t touch, allowing…
It is interesting to see, that not even a couple years ago, Russia and China were viewed as one of America’s biggest adversaries, yet now they are one of the biggest powers who have not been compromised by the Financialists. It will be an interesting era to see these big powers unite to defeat the bigger enemy, the newer ending debt cycle of the Financialists.
The seven step process of the Kill-Chain that Burlingame lays out in his article, seems very similar to the system that the City of London has been using for the past 1000 years to stay prosperous. However it seems like a distinction must be made between the City of London and the British Empire. Burlingame says that Britain was one of the first victims of the Financialists, so that leads us to question, did the City of London kill its own surrounding empire? It makes sense that the City of London and the British Empire might not be the same…
In Mariposa’s article, she writes about how Britain used the revolution and disputes in the Indian empire in order to take over and use India’s hospitality against itself. This is similar to what is happening today in the Gulf, specifically the Strait of Hormuz. Lloyd’s of London provide the risk coverage for all the hulls who can’t find insurance from an American company, giving them a complete monopoly. Manufacturing wars, means prices are able to be raised and customers have no choice but to pay them, or their goods aren’t shipped. The same system has been used for hundreds of…
”William granted the charter because he could not afford to antagonize the people that controlled the money.” With so many developed nations now, it might be difficult, but it would be possible to slowly exclude the City of London and its systems. Some nations, like America and India, seem to be already starting to make that change.
I think that it is very important to note Mariposa’s mention of how imperialism and colonialism, two systems that are very much based off of greed, helped destroy the rich culture and religious freedom that India had. It would not be surprising if the history textbooks portrayed these events as “something that happened”, without taking full accountability. As Mariposa says, some of the events of India’s history had to be filled in by India itself, because the winner never portrays itself as the bad guy. We have to understand the importance of our history, or we are doomed to repeat…
